Clean & Simple card using Feeling Fruity stamp set - We make a great Pear

Posted on

Thank you for joining me today, I am going to be talking CAS (Clean and Simple) and white space. I will also show you how to add a little detail to silhouette stamps.

I will be using the following products

Distress Oxide in Candied Apple and Peeled Paint

Black Ink

White card

Now I used to be afraid of white space and felt the need to add backing papers or stamp extra images but I’ve learnt that white space concentrates the eye on the stamped images and gives a boutique style to your card.

 To Make

I started by stamping my sentiment in the lower left of my card, I used one of the sentiments in the Feeling Fruity set as this will work perfectly with my image. I then stamped the pear image in Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink.

I want to add some detail to my pear rather than it being a flat colour, to do this I lightly tap the lower left edge of the pear stamp into some Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink. I then stamp over the pear to give the look of a Bartletts of Forrelle pear.

Tip – When trying to line up the stamp and stamping over a pre stamped image it’s best to get up over the image by standing so that you can look through the stamp and get the outline in place, however if you have a stamping platform then layering ink is a breeze.

I hope you’ll have a look at your stamps and think about how you can add extra detail and change things up. We’d love to see your creations over at the Get creative with Imagine Design Create Facebook group or on social media by using #imaginedesigncreate
