Joanna Sheen Dies
Posted on
I recently subscribed to simply cards & papercrafts to inspire myself to keep going
with my papercrafting. In the post i received 3 free dies from Joanna Sheen collection.
The dies were beautiful & i just had to have a go with them straight away but i had a workshop to prepare for & run within the hour! So i quickly grabbed the X-Cut machine & the nearest papers to hand and got cutting! I cut a few from each die but when i saw the fairy i had to create something with it!
At first i had a mind blank, as i had used pink paper i wasn't sure what to do then i suddenly thought about a silhouette style card in pink rather than black that i would normally do.
I grabbed a pre-cut oval & my inks i inked up the oval in complimenting colours and them glued on my fairy. I then got my xcut butterfly stamp and cut 3 little butterflies.
I opted to use a pre-embossed card that had a butterfly embossed pattern which i inked up for added effect.
I used double sided tape to apply the oval onto the card and finished the card with a simple piece cut with a border punch. I'm not sure why but i decided to get out my silver 3D pen that is technically for glass painting but i use in on all sorts and i added dots to each butterfly (I then of course i added gems, when do i not?!)
Considering this card took me only 15mins i'm pretty pleased! I'm really looking forward to creating with the other die cuts i made and exploring what i can create with my new dies!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
